Celebrating Our One-Year Anniversary in World of Warcraft: A Year of Adventure

It’s been one incredible year since our World of Warcraft guild Above Average first came together, and what a journey it’s been! As we celebrate our one-year anniversary, we’re reflecting on the chaos, connection, and shenanigans that have defined our guild’s adventure through Dragonflight and beyond.

Our One-Year Anniversary Celebration

We marked our one-year milestone recently in a night of epic adventures. Our guild members gathered in Valdrakken on our favorite “grass” spot for a commemorative family photo that symbolizes our unity and spirit- the grass will forever hold a special place in our hearts, but we are excited to discover a new hangout in The War Within. The festivities continued with multiple raffles throughout the night, where lucky winners walked away with in-game treasures like pets, transmogs, toys, and mounts.

But the fun didn’t stop there. We embarked on a world tour of Azeroth, visiting iconic locations and vanquishing Alliance leaders. To wrap up the night, we watched the Warcraft movie together on Discord, sharing laughs, stories, and memories from our year together.

Guild Achievements Over the Past Year

This year has been full of achievements that highlight our growth as a guild. Since our founding, we’ve:

Earned Ahead of the Curve (AoTC): Secured AoTC for each subsequent season since our founding, along with Glory of the Raider achievements
Unlocked the Awakened Hero Achievement: A major milestone as we closed out the expansion.
Excelled in Mythic+ Runs: Several members surpassed the 3k io mark, solidifying our reputation in the Mythic+ community.
Hosted Competitions and Contests : Including Mythic+ events with significant gold rewards.
Built a Comprehensive Crafting Network: We’re now nearly self-sufficient, crafting most items in-house.
Fostered Real-World Connections: From meetups at BlizzCon and DreamHack to supporting members through real-life events.

Our Discord community has been a hub of activity, filled with memes, helpful tips, and endless laughs, all while maintaining a drama-free environment.

Looking Forward: Future Goals for Our World of Warcraft Guild

As we look to the future, our World of Warcraft guild is excited about what’s to come. With the upcoming expansion, The War Within, we’re preparing to:

Strengthen Our Raid Roster: Building on our success to achieve AoTC again.
Push Mythic+ Content Further: Continuing to challenge ourselves and grow as a team.
Expand Guild Activities: From farming sessions to achievement runs, we’re planning more casual events to keep everyone engaged.

We’re also eager to welcome new members who share our love for adventure and fun, adding to the vibrant community we’ve built together.
