The Three Pillars – Our Code of Conduct

Our Mission Statement

Above Average provides a community where players of all levels can thrive in a positive environment of respect, teamwork and personal growth.

Our mission relies on the collective effort of everyone involved to achieve success. While we cannot guarantee perfection, our commitment lies in working collaboratively to continually improve and enhance our gaming experience. Together, we have the power to enhance and enrich the community, making it an even better and more rewarding experience for everyone involved. Our Three Pillars outline the values and expected behavior that promote our positive and inclusive environment. They serve to create a respectful atmosphere where members can grow, collaborate, and enjoy their experiences together.

Commitment to Character

Our goal is to level up both in and out of the game. Just as we invest time developing our in-game characters, we invest time developing our character and integrity in real life. Treat every guild member with respect, regardless of their playstyle, experience, or background. Embrace diversity and foster an atmosphere where everyone’s contributions are valued. Through mutual respect, we strive to create a community where loneliness is replaced with camaraderie and understanding. Discriminatory or harassing behavior will not be tolerated. Examples of this unwanted behavior include derogatory language/slurs, unwanted sexual advances, and raging at or belittling guild members.

Commitment to Content

We seek to achieve in game goals and clear content together as a guild. Whether you are new to the game or have raided at the highest level- our guild thrives on diverse content. Whether it’s raiding, PvP, or exploring, we encourage members to engage in activities that resonate with them. We believe in finding joy in gameplay variety. We characterize progression as evolving as a player or a person into something greater. The progression opportunities we offer range from improving your game play, building better communication skills, or even learning how to use the programs the guild uses to manage itself. These skills directly translate into our professional and personal lives.

Commitment to Collaboration

Our goal isn’t just to be S-Tier players, but to be S-Tier people, spouses, friends, leaders, employees, etc. We hope to help develop players into leaders because we believe leadership isn’t about a title or role but rather living a life others want to follow.Collaboration is the marriage of Character and Content. It’s working together to reach our goals, whether they are individual and personal goals, or team and community-wide goals. This guild is 100% run by volunteers and by people willing to pass on their knowledge and skills to anyone willing to learn. Every person has something to give and something to gain. The game, and life, is not always easy, but challenges are much more fun with a network of friends and guildmates to support you.

Knowing one’s audience is a critical aspect of humor. Having fun is encouraged, but not at the expense of others. We believe in learning from mistakes, and we will offer coaching to help our members understand and learn from their actions when out of alignment with these values. However, failure to uphold the code of conduct can result in disciplinary action, up to and including removal from the community.
